Is School Failing Your Child?

Your child is struggling at school. As a parent, you may feel helpless. You may feel like you don’t have any affordable options to create a better learning environment for your child.

But you do have options – and you do have the power to make things better for your child.

You Have School Options

Charter schools are new, innovative PUBLIC schools that are accountable for student results, and deliver programs tailored to educational excellence and the needs of the community they serve. Charter schools are one of the fastest growing reforms in the country.

  • In New Jersey, there are over 50 public charter schools providing an alternative for kids whose needs are not being met in regular public schools. In Camden there are currently six public charter schools. These are free PUBLIC schools open to all families.

  • A charter school is an independent public school that must perform well and attract parents to stay in open.

  • A charter school must practice open admission policies, meet health and safety standards, and comply with civil rights laws. In New Jersey, charter schools must participate in the Statewide Assessment Program, meet the Core Curriculum Standards, and all other performance standards, but they can go about meeting these standards in innovative way.

  • A charter school gives parents and teachers the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and create and operate a school that they want their children to attend and in which they want to teach.

A charter school just might be the right fit for your child!
