A Message from Jeanne Allen, CER President:
The Center for Education Reforms first national conference, American Education: The Next 15 Years, is now over, and we were thrilled, encouraged and inspired that so many of you took time out of your busy schedules to join other reformers to address issues important to us all. We heard from leading grass roots activists, choice and charter school authorities and were privileged to be able to provide a forum for them to share their wisdom and expertise.
We are also happy to be able to make available audio tapes for those who were unable to attend, or attendees who would like to review what they heard (see below for ordering information). For a full report on American Education: The Next 15 Years, read the Golden Anniversary Issue of the Monthly Letter to Friends.

CHEERS
for CER's 5th Anniversary Celebration and Conference:
"We found it to be most helpful as we try to better understand the issue
of school choice and how we believe ISC can be of greatest help. The opportunity
to become acquainted with some of the 'key players' was of great benefit. You
all did a great job!"
Dave Skillen
Independent School Council
"The speech on C-Span today by the president of the Core Knowledge group
was excellent.... Thank you for your help. Keep up the good fight for good
education."
Paul R.
Prescott, AZ
"Thank you so much for the wonderful conference. The speakers and the
discussions were very informative. It is not lost on us how you and other
leaders in education reform have helped create an environment in which schools
like our can thrive. All of us here congratulate the Center on its anniversary
and wish you and your staff great success in the years to come."
Andrew J. Zwerneman
