PROGRAM NOTE: Education Reform In The News

"Charter Schools That Work"

            PBS will be airing an hour-long documentary, "Charter Schools that Work," beginning in late September, and throughout the fall.  "Charter Schools That Work" explores this grassroots movement which has offered an innovative solution to some of the problems facing America's public schools. In this video essay, which was completed with the assistance of The Center for Education Reform, Clarence Page, Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist for the Chicago Tribune, visits several charter schools to report on how well these schools are working.
