STATEMENT FROM THE CENTER FOR
EDUCATION REFORM
(November 18, 1999) President Jeanne
Allen of the Center for Education Reform
commented today on this afternoon's decision by the 6th Circuit Court of
Appeals. The 6th Circuit decided to leave undisturbed the Supreme
Court's November 5th stay of Judge Solomon Oliver's
injunction against new children entering the Cleveland Scholarship Program.
"It's a great decision! Its
just too bad that the opponents continue to saturate the courts with nuisance
lawsuits that don't help children. We look forward to the day when school
choice is a right, not just for those who have money but for those who are less
privileged too." Related News Alerts: STATEMENT FROM THE CENTER FOR EDUCATION
