Deadline Extended for $1 Million Yass Prize
and $10 Million STOP Awards Competition
Application Deadline to Transform Education Now Open until July 25
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today, the Yass Prize, in partnership with the Center for Education Reform (CER) and Forbes, announced that the deadline for the 2022 competition will be extended to Monday, July 25. The prestigious $1 million Yass Prize celebrates the country’s education provider which best demonstrates educational experiences that are Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding and Permissionless (STOP) for all students. In conjunction with the Yass Prize, the STOP Awards initiative will distribute over $10 million to honor education innovators, providers and entrepreneurs that achieve excellence.
“In light of the Independence Day holiday, the expansion of state education policies encouraging innovation and the growing number of amazing submissions we’re receiving every day, we are thrilled to extend the deadline for the 2022 Yass Prize, and will be accepting submissions until Monday, July 25,” said Jeanne Allen, Director of the Yass Foundation and Founder and CEO of CER. “We want to ensure that every education provider that is interested in applying is able to do so.”

Established in 2021 to further empower 20 outstanding education providers working tirelessly to support underserved communities and families in the face of the many challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Yass Prize and related awards spotlight innovators in the education space by leveraging an extensive mentorship network to create new opportunities throughout the competitive process and beyond.
