Charter Schools are under attack by LAUSD once again. Students, parents and charter schools NEED YOUR HELP tomorrow, Tuesday November 13!!! When: Tuesday, November 13 at 11 A.M. Where: Los Angeles Unified School District office 333 South Beaudry Avenue, Los Angeles. Why: LAUSD Board members will be voting on a resolution that could freeze charter school growth in Los Angeles and hurt schools already in existence. LAUSD Board Member Steve Zimmer introduced a resolution on Charter Authorizing and Oversight that proposes to create a new Charter Oversight Commission, require the use of the LAUSD student system ISIS and halt the approval of new charter schools. It is important that you attend the rally and encourage your friends, family and school community to attend. Be sure to KEEP THE PRESSURE ON too, by calling and emailing LAUSD Board Members to vote “NO” on Steve Zimmer’s Resolution.
