The Center for Education Reform announced that the deadline for its “Hey John Oliver! Back Off My Charter School” video contest was extended to Sept. 30.

The video contest was created after HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” host John Oliver’s released an episode on charter schools.
CER responded by creating the contest to set the record straight on charter schools and showcase how these schools are providing quality education options.

Students, parents, educators and school leaders are encouraged to submit a short, informal video highlighting why their charter school matters and how it’s making an impact.
