Washington, D.C. — Jeanne Allen, the founder and CEO of the Center for Education Reform (CER), issued the following statement:
“With education being the key to a healthy economy and bright future for all Americans, the involvement of our highest leaders is critical. So on this Friday afternoon it’s great to hear that Education Secretary Devos is at the White House speaking with President Trump on the pending education opportunity proposal on in Congress.
“We’re glad the President thinks this proposal is important enough to take the time for it on his birthday as well. The best birthday gift would be for America’s kids to be able to access the education that best meets their needs! With bipartisan support at the federal level this can happen!”
