
Josephina Rago
Senior Partnership Director
Josephina Rago serves as the primary impact manager of our national network of Yass Prize awardees as well as overseer of all grant administration and outcomes. Preceding her role with CER, Josephina built her educator experience in the K-12 space as an AmeriCorps teaching assistant in the south Bronx and special education teacher on the founding team of a turnaround school on the southside of Chicago. As a first generation college student herself, Josephina also brings administrator experience in the higher education space working in student and family success roles. She developed a fiery passion for closing the achievement gap developing her impact inside the classroom, which then led to impacting students in classrooms across NYC’s 5 boroughs, and recently over the past 3 years has impacted over 7 million students across the country scaling innovative K-12, post-secondary and technical education opportunities. Josephina earned her undergraduate degrees from Hobart and William Smith Colleges; her MAT in Special Education at National Louis University; and her MSEd in Higher Education Administration at CUNY Baruch College.
