Alabama

Governor

Governor Kay Ivey (R)

Alabama leads the “A list” alphabetically, and re-elected Governor Kay Ivey leads our A-list of supporters of new approaches to education. She served as State Treasurer and Lt. Governor before becoming Governor, but in our eyes her most important credential was even earlier in life – as a high school teacher. Strongly supportive of innovation and opportunity all around, she is particularly interested in computer science education.
