Governor

Governor-Elect Bill Lee (R)

Businessman Bill Lee learned about the need for creative thinking while growing his family’s business and carries over that belief to education issues. He sent his children to a mix of public, private, and home schools, and has praised policies that give parents more school choices for their kids.  He cites the need for more technical and agricultural education in public schools and says the state doesn’t “need a massive, costly government project to do it. We have willing partners in the private sector.” He knows what he’s talking about – his company created its own technical school to provide skilled workers for it and other businesses.
