Michael Musante

As Senior Advisor for public affairs, Michael supports the policy outreach work at CER alongside his ongoing efforts to advance education opportunity in the District of Columbia. He previously served as CER’s Executive Vice President and Deputy Director of the Yass Foundation for Education.  For over 20 years Michael has been a dedicated national advocate for education freedom.  He has worked in a variety of roles for non-profits, private companies and government agencies but always with the goal of fighting to ensure parents have the right to the best educational opportunities for their children.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a Masters of Public Administration from The George Washington University.  Michael has served on a number of boards and commissions in the District of Columbia, where he resides with his wife and two children.
