Iowa

Governor

Governor Kim Reynolds (R)

Re-elected Governor Kim Reynolds is the first woman to hold that position and a strong voice for non-traditional thinking about improving education. She made Iowa a national leader in STEM education, a key to breaking the hold of business as usual. Iowa is #1 in students taking college-level classes in high school, another “must” to prepare our students for the 21stcentury employment market. But students still fall through the cracks, and there’s nothing like having more personalized learning options available to help them find the best fit. That, and more, should be on Mrs. Reynold’s agenda this term.
